Green Apple Award
North East London Energy
Efficiency Advice Centre won the Green Apple award for
outstanding work with schools for 2003 and 2004. The
FEE-Project (Persuasive power of children towards energy
consumption in the local community), is part of the European
Altener Program 2002-2003 with the objective of developing the
energy-environmental educational action in the European school,
for the reduction of the energy consumption, with the
involvement of the pupils.
North East London Energy
Efficiency Advice Centre was a partner in this European Union
funded initiative for increasing the energy awareness of pupils
in schools. The project involved five secondary and five
primary schools in the East London area to develop the project
in conjunction with schools in five other European Union
countries.
