Improve the environmental (and financial) performance of your business

The Business use of Renewable Energy Technologies (BRET) project was launched by NELEEAC in March 2006 with the aim to provide energy efficiency advice for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises*.  Advice focuses on recycling, waste reduction techniques and the potential for renewable technology.

With similar aims to the SME use of Renewable Energy Technologies (SMERET) project, launched January 2005, BRET extends its target area for businesses beyond SMERET's Upper Lea Valley area, (London Boroughs of Enfield, Haringey and Waltham Forest), to pan London.

The overall aim of both projects is to improve the economic performance and enhance the sustainability of small and Medium-sized businesses in the target Objective 2 areas**

 The FREE service includes:

  • On site energy audit

  • Concise report outlining measures to save energy

  • The opportunity to find out more on the potential of renewable    energy technologies such as Solar, Wind, Biomass and Micro- CHP’s.

  • Information on grants and discounted schemes for renewable energy technologies

  • Ongoing advice and support
