Combined Heat & Power
Feasibility Studies
Thames Energy Limited has been in
the forefront of the utilisation of small scale Combined Heat
and Power installation, management and maintenance. This
technology is not new and is developing in its scope and
application. As experts in this field we can provide
comprehensive advice on the possibility of integrating this
technology into the design/construction process and the
potential benefits it could bring both in the reduction of CO2
emissions and energy costs.
The Company has considerable
‘hands on’ experience in Combined Heat and Power Installations
and can offer a flexible package from initial feasibility
through to design and project management. The Company can also
offer a Contract Energy Management (CEM) package whereby a CHP
engine can be installed at no cost to the client.
Following from a successful
feasibility study the Company would design the CHP
installation. This can be either for a completely new project
or as addition to an existing group heating system.
Up to date analytical techniques
are used in optimising the selection of units using in-house
developed software as well as Auto Cad and Hevacad
as an efficient aid to the design and drawing process. Current
designs range from small scale domestic CHP’s of 28kWe for an
elderly persons accommodation to 1.3MWe for an industrial or
commercial organisation.
