Contract Energy
Management (CEM)
This is the generic term used in
various contract arrangements for the purchase of energy saving
equipment and services which are set up in such a way that the
Client pays for the improvement over a period of years out of
the resulting saving.

A comprehensive and flexible
service is individually tailored to produce a unique package
appropriate to the Client’s needs. The company would undertake
a preliminary energy audit, check the feasibility of a scheme,
design and project manage the installation and operate and
maintenance manage the installation. Negotiate with the fuel
utilities on the client’s behalf to procure best terms. Finance
packages can be negotiated to allow the benefit of advanced
energy systems such as Combined Heat and Power with no capital
outlay by the client.
The Company would install and
operate a CHP system and sell to the client heat and electricity
at a competitive price over a number of years. Alternative
Energy saving equipment can be installed under a shared saving
agreement or an Energy Service Agreement.
