Energy Certificates - DECs
NELEEAC has in house trained
Energy assessors who have all the appropriate qualifications and competence
to carry out the necessary methods for the production of a Display Energy
Certificate (DEC). We are members of the CIBSE accreditation scheme
and Low Carbon Consultants.
In addition assessors are also qualified to go beyond the current legal
minimum by improving the energy efficiency of new as well as existing
buildings.
We will carry out the following service for the production of a DEC:-
Undertake a thorough survey accounting for
energy consumption including location, floor area measurements, and
occupancy etc.
Feed data into the assessment software for
the production of the DEC and accompanied
report
Record the Certificate onto the national registrar
and provide a copy to the occupier
The occupier will then display the certificate in a prominent place
which can be viewed by all users of the building so as they can see
the actual energy use of that property.
We will ensure that all of the above is done to a very high standard
and any recommendations are tailored to meet the occupancy of each individual
property.
